About the East Midlands Later Life Forum
The EMLLF is an active member of the national Age Action Alliance and the Chair is a member of the Reference Group for the Age Action Alliance.

The objectivies of the Forum are to:
(a) Highlight and disseminate information on the key issues facing the ageing population both nationally and in the East Midlands.
(b) Champion and challenge the policy makers and service providers in the area.
(c) Ensure that the voice of people in later life is reflected at Forum meetings and helps to shape its actions.
(d) Respond to Government consultations to give a perspective from the East Midlands on age and ageing.

It delivers its objectives through an annual workplan with key activities to deliver its outcomes. The East Midlands Later Life Forum operates through a skilled and experienced Executive Committee which sets the direction and agenda for the Forum and reports to the Forum at its meetings.

EMLLF is affiliated to EngAGEnet - a new national organisation that will enable the direct voices of people in later life across England to be heard by those who create the policies, strategies and services that affect their lives.
